Academic Session at Our School
Monastery
Our academic session is carefully planned to provide a balanced education that
supports both learning and personal growth. Students engage in structured classes, practical activities,
and continuous assessments that help them build strong knowledge, skills,
and confidence throughout the year.
About
Nyingma Palyul Buddhist Basic School provides education from Nursery to Grade 8, combining modern academic learning with the fundamental values of Buddhist teachings. Our curriculum follows the standards set by the Ministry of Education, Nepal, and is enriched with Buddhist philosophy, meditation practices, moral science, and general knowledge. Alongside core subjects such as English, Nepali, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Computer Studies, students are guided in developing compassion, mindfulness, and ethical conduct.
At the Lower Secondary Level (Grades VI–VIII), the focus is on smoothly transitioning students from primary education to higher-level thinking. Emphasis is placed on project-based learning and practical activities, enabling students to apply their knowledge in real-life situations. Specialized Language and Math Labs help strengthen communication and analytical skills. Co-curricular activities—including prayer recitation, cultural programs, arts and crafts, and community service—further support students’ overall development.

School
Located on the edge of the Kathmandu Valley, and set back from the hustle and bustle of city life, the campus provides a supportive and safe environment for the children to learn. Moreover, with its proximity to Mingyur Rinpoche’s monastic headquarters at Osel Ling monastery, the students are able to develop strong bonds with their senior monastic members.
